A transformative motorcycle journey spanning 17,000 km across six countries inspired Piya Bahadur to create MeraBills, the flagship product of Peabody Soft Private Limited.
Engaging with small-business owners along the way, she recognized their struggles with managing finances and the lack of accessible tools to support their growth.
Launched in 2020, the app has been shaped through grassroots research, and guidance from community leaders.
Today, MeraBills continues to evolve, offering a multilingual, user-friendly platform designed to support first-time tech users.

Piya, a social entrepreneur and author, has a career spanning education and enterprise development. A graduate of the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, with a Master’s from the State University of New York, she is an Acumen India Fellow (2024) dedicated to driving social impact through her work.

Sunita Shrivastava
With over 25 years of experience in scalable internet services and high-availability systems, Sunita led innovations in Big Data and digital infrastructure at Microsoft. A graduate of IIT Bombay with a Bachelor's in Computer Science and a Master's from the University of California, Santa Barbara, Sunita specializes in delivering cutting-edge technology solutions.

Vij has over 25 years of technical leadership, as an architect of Azure's data protection platform at Microsoft and later a Principal Engineer at Google Cloud Security. He holds over 20 software patents and excels in turning complex engineering into impactful solutions for the social sector.​​​

Akash Raman
Akash leads Growth and Partnerships at MeraBills, drawing on 15 years of experience as a three-time founder and advisor to early-stage startups. He has previously worked with The/Nudge, Deloitte, Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiatives and Ashoka, and is a graduate of BITS Pilani, the University of Washington and Harvard University.
